Dematic centre of attention at New Zealand’s first Materials Handling Show
Dematic recently exhibited at the first dedicated logistics and material handing show staged in New Zealand, with great success.
The exhibition, Material Handling and Logistics, was held in the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland on July the 11th and 12th and according to Carole McCormick, Brand Manager for Dematic, the show provided an opportunity for customers to better understand Dematic’s commitment to the New Zealand market.
“Dematic is very committed to the New Zealand market, we have implemented a number of innovative solutions for many customers, “ said McCormick. “At MHL, we were able to confirm that we are increasing our presence in the market to better support our current and future customers,” she said.
“New Zealand is an important and growing market for Dematic. We’ve recently opened an office in Auckland and completed a number of large sites including Ezi-Buy and Bendon Lingerie,” she said.
“We used the show to demonstrate our systems capabilities as well as our Real Time Logistics Solutions (RTL) which includes wireless technologies such as RF, Pick to Light and Voice Picking,” sahe said.
The show was a success on a number of levels.
“The organisers incorporated a live and interactive demonstration area within the show, at which various suppliers were able to demonstrate new technologies,” said McCormick.
“Paul Phillips, Dematic’s RTL Account Manager, ran Voice Picking demonstrations to a packed house and once the demonstration was complete we had a large number of visitors to the stand. There, our staff were able to address any queries and also demonstrate other technologies including our Pick to Light System,” she said.
The show also provided an ideal branding exercise for Dematic.
“We also viewed the show as an important branding exercise for Dematic. We sponsored the show bag which sported the Dematic logo, included our Voice Seminar brochure in the bags and also advertised with a full page in the show guide,” said McCormick.
“I’m happy to report that the various strategies worked and we came away with a good number of quality leads and the impression that we’d stolen the show,” she said.
