UK retail logistics specialist joins Dematic
Milan Vještica has joined the Logistics Systems Group at Dematic as Manager – Grocery and General Merchandise for Australia and New Zealand.
Milan has spent the past 10 years in a variety of senior management roles with Dematic in the UK.
During that time he helped develop logistics and supply chain solutions for many of the UK’s leading high street retailers and suppliers including Tesco, GAP, Unilever, Exel, Pearson and Wilkinson.
He brings a wealth of logistics design and project management experience to Dematic in Australasia, and looks forward to sharing his specialist retail industry knowledge with Dematic’s grocery and general merchandise customers.
“From what I have seen to date, retail distribution in Australia presents its own unique set of supply chain challenges,” he said.
“That’s why I am delighted to join the largest and most experienced team of logistics industry professionals in the region.”

One of Milan’s strengths is his experience as a specifier and user of logistics and materials handling systems from his time as a Manufacturing and Production Engineer in the auto industry in the UK.
“I had more than 10 years of sitting on the other side of the fence as a user of logistics and materials handling systems, and I believe that experience has given me a better perspective on the things that really matter for customers,” he said.
“I will be getting out and about over the next couple of months, and look forward to meeting many of Dematic’s customers face to face.”
