Dematic 2020 Supply Chain Vision Seminars: Book Now!

One of the first public outings for the new Dematic brand in Australia will be the company’s Annual Seminar Series: 2020 Supply Chain Vision, scheduled for the third week of July 2006.

Building on the platform laid during the 2005 series, this year’s program is headed up: Core Strategies, Tactics & Trade-offs for a Sustainable Supply Chain Future.

Commenting on the program, Dematic’s Glen Borg, Director Logistics Systems, said: “Every company strives for competitive advantage… an edge that sets them apart from their competition, creates loyalty and generates profits.

“Some companies seek to gain the edge by lowering costs or providing faster more reliable delivery. But, on their own, these are not enough,” he said.

“The key to future sustainability is an adaptable strategic framework that aligns all aspects of business strategy and embraces the need to change.”

Mr Borg added: “At last year’s 2020 Vision Seminars, we explored global trends and their impact on future Logistics & Distribution solutions. We also highlighted technology trends and the role new technologies would play in keeping pace with rapid change.

“In 2006, we will continue the evolution and demonstrate how to stand out from the crowd by exploring future choices aimed at optimising Logistics Systems performance. We will be comparing cost reduction strategies such as automation, inventory reduction, centralisation and regionalisation, and assessing the impact of these strategies on customer service, future flexibility and adaptability,” said Mr Borg.

As a global leader in Logistics Systems design, Dematic is uniquely placed to demonstrate strategically sound techniques that create meaningful logistics results.

Dematic will present special insights from logistics practitioners from globally renowned companies and key members of its international team of Logistics Systems designers.

Following the keynote session, delegates will have the opportunity of attending one of two industry-specific presentations on Manufacturing Logistics or Distribution Logistics. These presentations will feature comprehensive local and international case studies demonstrating World’s Best Practice in various industry applications.

Make sure your business is equipped with the tools to create sustainable logistics results and register for 2020 Supply Chain Vision now. Please note, numbers are limited! Every seminar was oversubscribed in 2005, so don’t miss out in 2006. Delegates will be registered on a first-come basis, so secure your place today by registering online at www.logisticsasiapacific.com
